Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to visit Meerut on August 7 or 8, 2026, to personally welcome the incoming pilgrims by showering flower petals from a ceremonial stage. Following the traditions of previous years, top-tier state and district officials have swung into action, formulating elaborate security plans, inspecting routes, and coordinating crowd management strategies to accommodate the massive influx of devotees.
District Administration Prepares for CM Yogi's Visit
With anticipation building around Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's potential arrival on August 7th or 8th, the local administration in Meerut has accelerated its logistical preparations. Drawing inspiration from last year's grand floral welcome at the Dulhera Chungi stage in Modipuram, officials are currently evaluating similar high-security locations for this year's event. District Magistrate Dr. V.K. Singh noted that while the official state itinerary is awaiting final confirmation, preparations are being carried out on a war footing. Police and administrative departments have already begun assigning specific duties to officers and personnel to manage VIP security and crowd flows seamlessly.
Top Officials Inspect Kanwar Routes and Seva Camps
To ensure flawless execution, top-ranking state and police officials have been continuously monitoring the ground realities across the district. Commissioner Bhanu Chandra Goswami and DIG Kalanidhi Naithani conducted intensive inspections along the Chaudhary Charan Singh Kanwar Patri Marg on Monday, evaluating security protocols, traffic diversions, and basic amenities at various local Seva camps. Concurrently, District Magistrate Dr. V.K. Singh and SSP Avinash Pandey personally patrolled the canal track routes up to the Radhna bridge, Pali, and surrounding areas. Authorities have strictly instructed field officers to maintain high vigilance, protect pilgrims from safety hazards, and ensure smooth traffic movement right up to the Ghaziabad border.
