The UP-Japan Investment Meet 2026 has drawn high praise from international and domestic industry leaders, with top executives from Kubota Corporation and Spark Minda hailing Uttar Pradesh as a premier global manufacturing and investment hub. Highlighting the state's rapid infrastructural advancements and progressive policies under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, corporate leaders detailed ambitious expansion plans aimed at driving massive employment, accelerating electric vehicle (EV) technologies, and cementing long-term economic partnerships between Japan and India.

Kubota Cites Long-Term Confidence in Uttar Pradesh

Speaking at the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony, Shingo Hanada, President and CEO of Kubota Corporation, Japan, emphasized that the company's new manufacturing facility marks a historic milestone in its enduring partnership with the state. Commending the active cooperation of Invest UP and the state administration, Hanada noted that Uttar Pradesh has rapidly transformed into one of India’s fastest-growing industrial centers. With a 135-year global legacy focused on societal progress and agricultural innovation, Kubota aims to leverage Japanese precision engineering alongside local Indian capabilities to build a robust future export base from the region.

Spark Minda Expands Footprint with Focus on EVs and Job Creation

Echoing these sentiments, Akash Minda, Executive Director of Minda Corporation Limited, praised the state's paradigm shift under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, highlighting how massive infrastructure projects like expressways, industrial corridors, and the Noida International Airport have fundamentally transformed the business landscape. Having operated in Uttar Pradesh for over four decades with a current workforce exceeding 9,000 employees, Spark Minda announced plans to scale up investments in advanced technologies, automotive components, electronics, and electric vehicle (EV) solutions. This upcoming expansion is projected to generate an additional 6,000 to 8,000 jobs, reinforcing the state's status as a beacon of investor confidence and industrial success.
