Commemorating the supreme sacrifice of India’s legendary freedom fighters, the Chief Minister led a massive, high-profile Tiranga Yatra in Lucknow, honoring the immortal martyrs who shook the foundations of British colonial rule. Following the patriotic march and a solemn tribute at the Kakori Martyrs Memorial, CM Yogi flew to Siddharthnagar district to dedicate and lay foundation stones for a slew of major developmental projects valued at over ₹311 crore, continuing his relentless push for regional growth across the state.

Grand Tiranga Yatra and Tribute on Kakori Train Action Day

The day’s events commenced at the Chief Minister's official residence, where CM Yogi Adityanath addressed citizens before flagging off a vibrant Tiranga Padyatra. Flanked by Union Minister and State BJP President Pankaj Chaudhary, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, the Chief Minister marched alongside tens of thousands of participants, including NCC cadets, NSS members, Scout Guide volunteers, Yuvak Mangal Dal members, and social organization workers. The procession passed through major city landmarks like Civil Hospital and Atal Chowk, culminating in front of the historic Vidhan Bhavan.

After completing the yatra, CM Yogi visited the Kakori Martyrs Memorial to pay heartfelt floral tributes to iconic freedom fighters Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaqulla Khan, Thakur Roshan Singh, and Rajendra Nath Lahiri. Highlighting the historical weight of August 9, the state government has directed that special commemorative events, memorial clean-ups, and felicitations of freedom fighters' families be organized across all historical martyr sites throughout Uttar Pradesh from August 9 to August 15.

Siddharthnagar Gift: ₹311 Crore Development Projects

Transitioning from state-level patriotic celebrations to grassroots governance, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath flew to Siddharthnagar district on Sunday afternoon to deliver a massive infrastructure and welfare package. The CM inaugurated and laid foundation stones for a total of 107 developmental projects worth over ₹311 crore, specifically targeting the Dumariyaganj and Banshi assembly constituencies in the land of Lord Buddha.

The comprehensive breakdown of the development gifts includes:

  • Dumariyaganj Assembly Constituency: Inauguration of 22 completed projects valued at over ₹63 crore, alongside the laying of foundation stones for 22 new projects worth ₹57 crore.

  • Banshi Assembly Constituency: Inauguration of 24 completed works worth more than ₹64 crore, alongside laying foundation stones for 41 major projects exceeding ₹127 crore.

During the public meeting in Siddharthnagar, the Chief Minister also personally distributed benefit certificates and sanction letters to recipients of various state and central public welfare schemes, reinforcing his administration's dual focus on national pride and all-round economic development.
