During a ‘Sankalp Samavesh’ program of Congress in Bengaluru in Karnataka, the national president of the Congress party, Mallikarjun Kharge became angry due to the shouting by some party workers in support of DK Shivakumar, saying that there is no room for any personal worship in a party event. Some of the Congress workers shouted ‘DK-DK’ during the event, on which Kharge expressed his anger. From the stage, he said that this is not a party for any individual but an event for the entire party, here we do not worship any one.
Kharge said: You useless people, will the entire country change due to slogans chanted here? This is a party event, all party workers are here for the party. I have 58 years of political experience.
I know how many leaders have come into politics, some were small contributors but the party has contributed immensely to them.
There will be footage of whoever raised the slogans, and I will take appropriate disciplinary action after seeing it.

Meanwhile, regarding the Ram Temple Trust scandal, Kharge alleged that no accounting has been done with money coming to build Ram temple.
A large scale corruption happened in the name of Ram Temple and an impartial investigation should be done in the matter. I need to investigate where the money collected in the donation boxes of temples is going.
