The recruitment drive covers positions for Subedar (Ministerial) Stenographer and Assistant Sub-Inspector (Ministerial) across various operational branches. The online registration portal opens on September 24, 2026, and candidates can submit their applications until October 8, 2026. The examination authority has also scheduled the written recruitment examination to commence on November 3, 2026, across designated centers in Madhya Pradesh.
Detailed Vacancy Distribution: General Branch, Field Units, Special Branch, and CID
The 655 vacancies are distributed across key administrative and investigative divisions within the state police infrastructure. For the post of Subedar (Ministerial) Stenographer, 135 total positions are allocated, comprising 125 vacancies in the General Branch and 10 in the Special Branch. The Assistant Sub-Inspector (Ministerial) cadre accounts for 520 openings, broken down into 100 posts in the General Branch, an expansive 370 posts across Field Units, 25 in the Special Branch, and 25 within the Crime Investigation Department (CID).
Essential Technical Qualifications and 12th Pass Criteria
While the baseline academic threshold requires candidates to have completed Class 12th from an accredited institution, specific technical credentials are mandatory for each role. Applicants for Subedar (Ministerial) Stenographer must demonstrate a certified speed of 100 words per minute in Hindi stenography, hold a recognized certification from an authorized board, polytechnic, or ITI, possess a valid CPCT Hindi typing scorecard, and hold an approved one-year computer diploma. For the Assistant Sub-Inspector (Ministerial) vacancies, candidates must possess a 12th pass certificate, a valid CPCT Hindi typing scorecard, and a one-year computer diploma, with equivalent qualifications such as BE, B.Tech, MCA, BCA, M.Sc in Computer Science or IT, and AICTE-approved technical diplomas also deemed eligible.
Age Limit Relaxations and Structured Government Pay Scales
The age calculation cut-off date is established as October 8, 2026. The upper age limit for unreserved male candidates and non-domicile applicants from outside Madhya Pradesh is capped at 33 years. Female candidates across all categories within Madhya Pradesh, along with male candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC communities of the state, benefit from an extended age ceiling of up to 38 years. Special categories receive additional age relief, setting the ceiling at 38 years for male Vikram Awardees, 42 years for female Vikram Awardees and reserved-category male recipients, alongside an additional 5-year extension under the state's Inter-Caste Marriage Incentive Scheme. Selected candidates appointed as Subedar (Ministerial) will draw a monthly pay scale of ₹36,200 to ₹1,14,800, while Assistant Sub-Inspectors (Ministerial) will be placed in the pay matrix of ₹19,500 to ₹62,000, complemented by state-mandated pension safeguards and standard service benefits.
