How to perform the puja

On the day of Govardhan Puja, clean the place thoroughly, sprinkle Ganga water and spread a clean cloth at the place where Giriraj Maharaj is to be made. Now make Govardhan mountain from cow dung and start the puja at an auspicious time. First of all, light a lamp and worship Lord Krishna and Govardhan mountain. Offer incense, lamp, naivedya, water, fruits, flowers etc. in the puja. Place an earthen lamp or any other vessel at the place of Govardhan ji's navel and pour milk, curd, Ganga water, honey, and sugar candy in it. After the puja, distribute it as prasad.
