New Delhi: After the Primetime Emmy Awards, the International Emmy Awards 2024 is in the headlines. Recently, the nominees for the International Emmy Awards have been announced before the award show. This year, India's only web series The Night Manager is set to wave the flag of success at the global level.

The Night Manager nominated for Emmy Awards

On Thursday, the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for the Emmy Awards in New York. The Night Manager is the only series nominated for the Emmy Awards among the 14 categories. It has been nominated in the Best Drama Series category.

There will be competition from these series

The Night Manager will be competing with the best web series in the world. In the Best Drama category, the Aditya Roy Kapur starrer series is nominated along with French show Les Gouttes de Dieu (Drops of God), Australia's The Newsreader Season 2 and Argentina's IOC, El Espia Arrepentido Season 2.

Anil Kapoor expressed his happiness

Anil Kapoor is overjoyed with the series' entry into the Emmy Awards . According to PTI, the actor said, "I have just found out that our Indian version of 'The Night Manager' has been nominated for the International Emmy Awards. I remember I was confused when I got this offer. It gave me an opportunity to play a character that was so complex, but on the other hand it was a huge responsibility to add new characters to it."

Who will host the Emmy Awards?

The Night Manager, releasing in 2023, is a Hindi adaptation of John Le Carre's novel and the British show of the same name. The series directed by Sandeep Modi and Priyanka Ghose stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor and Sobhita Dhulipala in the lead roles. It is known that the International Emmy Awards are being organized on November 25, which will be hosted by Indian comedian Vir Das.
