New Delhi: Stree 2 is currently making waves at the box office. The movie which was released on 15th August has completed a week in theatres. Within a few days, the Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao starrer movie has done a business of around 300 crores at the box office.

Stree 2 has become the second highest grossing film of the year 2024. When the trailer of the horror comedy film came out, the makers had confirmed that Stree 3 would be released. After the release of Stree 2 in theatres and Akshay Kumar's scene in the last, fans are waiting for the third part with even more eagerness.

Recently, the film's director Amar Kaushik has shared a big update regarding the third part of his horror universe's most successful film 'Stree'.

The story of Stree 3 is ready

Stree 2 director Amar Kaushik spoke first and told how far the process has reached regarding the third part. He said, "Stree's universe has been set. We know what our third part will be about. We haven't written the script yet, but Niren and I have made notes and we know how the flow of the story will be".

When asked if Akshay Kumar was Sarkata in Stree 2, Amar Kaushik replied, "No, we had actor Mukesh, whose face we made like the face of Sarkata". Amar Kaushik also told that casting Akshay Kumar in Stree 2 was the easiest for him.

You won't have to wait for six years for Stree 3

Abhishek Banerjee, who played the character of Jana in Stree 2, while talking to Indian Express about the third part, said,

Aparshakti Khurana also gave an update on Stree 3 and said that the framework of the film has been prepared much before the release of Stree 2, now we just have to wait for producer Dinesh Vijan and the director to give the rest of the details. It has been claimed in many media reports that the movie can be released in theaters in 2025.
