Rajkumar Rao 's childhood was full of struggle. His mother used to borrow money from relatives to make ends meet. There came a time when she did not even have money to pay Rajkumar Rao's school fees. At that time, the actor's school teacher paid his fees for three years.
Rajkumar's childhood went through financial stress
In a recent interview, Rajkummar Rao recalled that period. In Raj Shamani's podcast, Stree 2's Bikki aka Rajkummar said, "I grew up in a joint family, I have two elder siblings. My beginning was simple. I didn't grow up with money, so financial stress was always there. It wasn't like we were starving, but we were barely surviving."
The teacher used to pay Rajkumar's fees
The Stree 2 star revealed how her mother managed to pay for their school books and tuition fees by borrowing money from relatives. There came a time when she had to pay their fees to the teachers. "She would sometimes ask our relatives for help for school books and tuition fees. That's how she raised us. For two or three years, the school teachers paid our fees because we were three and there was no money for school fees. They didn't want us to be expelled from school, so they paid for us," the actor said.
Bikki's film crosses 400 crore mark
Rajkummar Rao is currently enjoying the success of his latest release Stree 2. The horror-comedy film, which released in theatres on August 15, has earned over 400 crores within a week. The figure has crossed 300 crores at the domestic box office. The film also stars actors like Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana and Pankaj Tripathi.
