On-Duty Police Constable Dies of Suspected Heart Attack Outside Salman Khan's Residence

A profound sense of shock has enveloped the bustling neighborhood outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's residence following the sudden and tragic death of an on-duty police constable. Stationed as part of the actor's heavily reinforced security detail at Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai, the 41-year-old officer collapsed unexpectedly while carrying out his official protection duties, casting a somber shadow over the high-profile location.

Sudden Collapse and Medical Emergency Outside Galaxy Apartments

According to reports from the Indo-Asian News Service (IANS), the 41-year-old officer, identified as Constable Ganesh, was actively deployed on security duty outside Salman Khan’s Bandra residence when his health deteriorated abruptly. Witnesses reported that he suddenly fainted on the spot.

Senior Mumbai Police officials stated that fellow officers and security personnel on site rushed him to a nearby private hospital without delay. Despite immediate medical intervention, attending physicians pronounced him dead upon arrival. Preliminary medical assessments indicate that the constable suffered a fatal heart attack while on duty. Neither Salman Khan nor members of his immediate family have issued a public statement regarding the tragic incident at the time of reporting.

Heightened Security Detail Following Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Threats

The unfortunate incident occurred against the backdrop of an intensely scrutinized, multi-layered security apparatus surrounding Salman Khan. Over recent years, the superstar's security has been significantly amplified following persistent and grave death threats from jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his syndicate, stemming from the infamous 1990s blackbuck poaching case.

The security threats escalated dramatically on the morning of April 14, 2024, when motorcycle-borne assailants opened fire outside Galaxy Apartments, an attack for which the Bishnoi gang later claimed public responsibility. In response, Mumbai Police placed the actor under round-the-clock protective custody, deploying armed personnel to monitor his residence continuously.

Reflecting on the claustrophobic nature of his heightened security last year, Salman Khan candidly admitted that navigating daily life under constant guard had become exceptionally challenging. Commenting on the pervasive threats to his safety, the actor shared, "God, Allah, it's all up to him. The age is what's written. That's it. Sometimes, it gets difficult to move around with so many people." The sudden loss of Constable Ganesh highlights the immense physical and mental vigilance maintained by frontline law enforcement officers who serve within high-risk celebrity protection details across Mumbai.
