New Delhi: Ireland has announced the team for the ODI and T20I series against South Africa. The surprising thing is that the selectors have dropped the most experienced player Andrew Balbirnie from the T20 team. However, he will be seen opening the innings in the ODI series.

It is worth noting that Ireland has to play a series of three T20 and two ODI matches against South Africa in the UAE. It will start from September 27. After the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 played in June, the Ireland team will return to white ball cricket with this series.

So many runs have been scored for Ireland

Let us tell you that Andrew Balbirnie, the second-highest run scorer in T20 Internationals for Ireland, has not had a great performance for some time. This is why Ireland has made changes in the top order. Balbirnie has played 110 T20I matches for Ireland, in which he has scored 2392 runs with the help of 12 half-centuries.
