However, there will be one state where banks will remain closed for four days. Consequently, people may face difficulties in completing banking related work during these three to four days. 

Banks will remain closed for 3 days across the country 

From tomorrow till 26th January, all private and government banks across the country will remain closed. 

  • January 24, Fourth Saturday - Tomorrow, January 24, is the fourth Saturday of this month. According to the RBI, both private and public banks are closed on fourth Saturdays. Banks across the country will remain closed tomorrow, as it is the fourth Saturday. 
  • January 25, Sunday – Sunday is a weekly bank holiday, so all private and public banks will remain closed on this day.
  • January 26, Monday - Republic Day is on Monday, January 26. Because it is Republic Day, this day is a national holiday. This means that schools, offices, and banks will be closed across the country. 

Banks will also be closed on January 27 in this state.

In fact, all private and government banks in Bihar will remain closed on January 27th, as bank employees are going on strike. Through this strike, bank employees will demand a five-day working week. In addition, employees have several other demands, including salary increases, that they want to raise through the strike. 

How to complete your important work when the bank is closed?

If banks are closed on a particular day in your state, but you have some urgent banking work to do, you can do it from home. You'll need a laptop or mobile phone and internet service.

You can perform many important bank tasks using online banking and ATM machines, such as withdrawing cash, transferring money, etc. However, some tasks can only be completed by visiting the bank.
