Uttarakhand Nikay Chunav 2025 Results: In the Uttarakhand Assembly Elections 2022, the BJP suffered heavy losses in the plain district Udham Singh district. Out of the nine assembly seats in the district, it had to face defeat in five assembly seats, while the BJP managed to win four assembly seats. After the Lok Sabha elections 2024, now the district has become saffron in the municipal elections and in many municipal bodies, the BJP and its supported candidates have won the post of president.  

The victory of BJP in the municipal elections has brought smiles on the faces of BJP leaders. Political parties consider municipal elections as the first step towards assembly elections. In the municipal elections, BJP candidate Vikas Sharma from Rudrapur Municipal Corporation of Udham Singh district, BJP candidate Deepak Bali from Kashipur Municipal Corporation, Ramesh Chandra Joshi from Khatima Municipal Council, Sukhdev Singh from Sitarganj Municipal Council, BJP candidate Sachin Shukla from Nagla Municipal Council, Manoj Gumbar from Gadarpur Municipal Council, BJP candidate Balwinder Kaur from Lalpur Municipal Council, BJP candidate Rajiv Kumar from Sultanpur Patti Municipal Council registered victory.  

Udham Singh Nagar turned saffron.
With this, BJP candidate Manjeet Kaur from Nagar Panchayat Dineshpur, Prem Singh Turena from Nagar Panchayat Nanakmatta have been elected unopposed. Independent candidate Rizwan Ahmed from Nagar Palika Parishad Mahuakheda, independent candidate Satish Kumar Chugh from Nagar Panchayat Gularbhoj, independent candidate Sumit Mandal from Nagar Panchayat Shaktigarh, independent candidate Gayatri Devi from Nagar Panchayat Mahuadabra, independent candidate Mohammad Safi from Nagar Panchayat Kelakheda have won the post of president. While Congress candidate Gurmeet Singh Geete won from Nagar Palika Parishad Bajpur. This time BJP and independent candidates have dominated the municipal elections.

BJP captured these bodies:
BJP candidates have won in 10 out of the 17 municipal bodies of the district. Independent candidates won in 6 bodies

Independent candidates have won 6 out of 17 bodies in Udham Singh Nagar district. Independent candidate Naushad Samrat from Nagar Palika Parishad Jaspur, Independent candidate Rizwan Ahmed from Nagar Palika Parishad Mahuakheda, Independent candidate Satish Kumar Chugh from Nagar Panchayat Gularbhoj, Independent candidate Sumit Mandal from Nagar Panchayat Shaktigarh, Independent candidate Gayatri Devi from Nagar Panchayat Mahuadabra, Independent candidate Mohammad Safi from Nagar Panchayat Kelakheda have won the post of President.

Congress has managed to win only one body out of 17 bodies in the district. While five Congress MLAs won the 2022 assembly elections in Udham Singh Nagar district, except Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya, no Congress leader in the district could manage to save his stronghold. Congress has managed to win the Municipal Council Bajpur from Bajpur Assembly of Uttarakhand Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya.
