The economy is strong in terms of investment

The condition of the Indian economy is also looking strong in terms of investment. According to the report, a record investment of Rs 37.06 lakh crore was made in the last financial year 2023 and investments of Rs 36.92 lakh crore have also been made in the financial year 2024. The best thing is that the share of the private sector in investment is increasing. The number of new companies is also increasing continuously. 158974 new companies were registered in the financial year 2023, while in the financial year 2024 this number increased to 185249.

Financial fraud cases are on the rise

The SBI report released on Thursday revealed that financial fraud in banks has increased at an average rate of 32.9 percent annually in the last four years. In the last financial year 2023-24, banks registered 36,075 cases of financial fraud. Of these, 6472 cases were related to government banks. The share of government banks in fraud is decreasing. In the financial year 2019, the share of government banks in financial frauds registered by banks was 50.7 percent, which decreased to 20.7 percent in the financial year 2024. At the same time, the share of private banks in financial fraud was 35.2 percent in the financial year 2020, which increased to 67.1 percent in the financial year 2024.

According to the report, the number of financial fraud cases has increased, but in terms of value, it is decreasing every year. In the financial year 2020, cases of financial fraud worth Rs 1.85 lakh crore were reported in banks, which decreased to Rs 13,930 crore in the last financial year 2023-24. According to the report, most financial frauds were done through cards and internet. In the financial year 2022-23, fraud of Rs 277 crore was done through cards and internet, which increased to Rs 1457 crore in the financial year 2023-24.

The number of counterfeit notes is decreasing

According to the SBI report, the number of bank notes is increasing, but with the help of government efforts, the number of fake notes is decreasing. In the financial year 2024 ending in March this year, the number of fake notes was reported to be 2,22,639, while in the financial year 2023, 2,25,769 fake notes were found. At the end of March this year, the number of bank notes was reported to be 146.8 billion, which is 7.8 percent more than the financial year 22-23. At the end of March this year, the number of 500 rupee notes was reported to be 60.2 billion, the number of 200 rupee notes was reported to be 7.7 billion.
