don't give such gifts
Some such things have also been told, which should not be given to the Kanjak even by mistake during Kanya Poojan, otherwise Mata Rani can get angry. The girls who come home should never be given things made of glass or sharp things. Along with this, do not give black clothes or black handkerchiefs etc. to the Kanjak. Doing so is considered inauspicious. Also, giving steel utensils or plastic items like lunch boxes etc. as gifts to small girls is also not considered auspicious.
Do this before leaving
Before sending the girls away from home, touch their feet and take their blessings. After this, send off the girls while chanting the praises of Mata Rani. Also, keep in mind that do not clean the house immediately after sending off the girls. If you keep all these things in mind, then you get the full benefit of Kanya Poojan.
