The special thing about this show is that even the smallest and the biggest characters are touching the hearts of the people. Apart from 'Secretary Ji' and 'Pradhan Ji', there are many other characters of the Panchayat series, who have won the hearts of the people with their acting. One of them is Durgesh Kumar.
'Banarakas' became fans' favorite from Panchayat series
Bhushan's character has been shown in many ways in the Panchayat web series. 'Banarakas' i.e. Durgesh Kumar has also played an important role in village politics. Durgesh's character was very small in the first season. In the second season, he became the life of this series and in the third season he is entertaining more than before. Durgesh's 'Bhushan' character has entered the hearts of the people.
Durgesh Kumar has been liked so much in the 'Panchayat' series and is still being liked, due to which his popularity is increasing. But the journey till here was full of difficulties for Durgesh Kumar.
After studying engineering, he joined theatre
Durgesh Kumar, a resident of Darbhanga in Bihar, also received his early education from here. He studied engineering as per his father's wish, but Durgesh's heart was set on acting. Durgesh's elder brother Dr. Shivshakti Chaudhary had come to Delhi to prepare for UPSC. After coming here, he joined theatre for his growth.
The first play done was 'Taj Mahal Ka Tender'
After learning acting in theatre for 50 days, Durgesh did his first play 'Taj Mahal Ka Tender'. In this he played the role of a peon. After this, Durgesh never looked back in acting. Durgesh did a two-year diploma from Shriram Centre of Performing Arts and Culture. He also learnt the tricks of acting in NSD, which benefited him.
The initial days in Mumbai were difficult
When Durgesh was doing theatre, he would often see Manoj Bajpayee's picture in the newspaper and think that if this boy from Bihar can become a hero in films, then he too can do something. When he started getting offers for shows, he faced a lot of problems after moving from Delhi to Mumbai. He was getting small roles, but not good work. The cost of living was also becoming heavy.
Worked in soft porn
Durgesh Kumar played small roles in films like Highway, Sultan, Freaky Ali. But there came a time when he had a shortage of work. Durgesh had told in an interview that when he was going through this difficult phase, he also worked in soft porn films. He said, 'I cannot live without acting. Whatever the character is, I put my heart and soul into it. I also worked in Balaji's Virgin Bhaskar.'
Durgesh had become a victim of depression
There came a time in the life of Banarakas of 'Panchayat' when he became a victim of depression. He used to give auditions but could not clear them. Meanwhile, he got the offer of 'Panchayat'. There is a scene in it in which Durgesh Kumar says, 'Secretary ji, what are you making me write.' The way Durgesh Kumar delivered this dialogue of a few words went viral. From here his luck changed and 'Banarakas' of Panchayat got an identity.
