India's oldest stock exchange BSE has announced the launch of futures and options (F&O) contracts for 43 stocks, which will be available for trading from December 13, 2024. The exchange has given this information in a circular issued after the market closed on Friday. Major stocks entering the F&O segment of BSE include Adani Energy Solutions, Adani Green Energy, Adani Total Gas, Paytm's One 97 Communications, Yes Bank, Avenue Supermarkets (DMart), LIC, Zomato and Jio Financial Services.
Apart from LIC, other PSU stocks included in the derivatives segment are Bank of India (BoI), Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO), Indian Bank, Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC), NHPC, Oil India, SJVN and Union Bank of India.
The details of derivative contracts for these securities will be available in the Derivative Contracts Master File, which will be available after market close on December 12, 2024. The move is expected to boost liquidity and provide additional trading opportunities in these stocks. Zomato will join the Sensex Zomato will be included among the 30 companies of the Sensex from December 23. BBS said that JSW Steel will be out of the Sensex, which will be replaced by Zomato in the Sensex. These changes in the Sensex will be effective from December 23. BSE subsidiary Asia Index Pvt Ltd on Friday, November 22, announced changes to several indices, including the BSE 100, BSE Sensex 50 and BSE Sensex Next 50. Subhashish Chaudhuri appointed chairman of governing board Stock exchange BSE Ltd said markets regulator Sebi has approved the appointment of Subhashish Chaudhuri as chairman of the governing board, effective November 22, 2024. The appointment follows the approval by the BSE board on November 12, 2024, and was subject to Sebi's approval.
