Aligarh News: Aligarh's Quarsi police team has succeeded in arresting 3 vicious thieves. The arrested accused used to commit robbery from moving trucks. Police have recovered stolen goods worth lakhs from the possession of the accused. 

These clever thieves used to commit thefts from moving trucks on the road. To commit thefts, the accused used to follow the trucks in an auto rickshaw. As soon as they got a chance, they would park their auto rickshaws next to the trucks, climb on them and commit thefts by cutting the tarpaulin.

Big action on the information of the informer:
At present, Quarsi police has arrested all three thieves. Stolen goods worth lakhs have been recovered from the possession of the accused, which includes a large amount of liquor from Odisha, tiles, chemicals and other items.

The police had received information about the accused from an informer. After this, the police took immediate action and arrested Akash Aggarwal, Kanha Kumar and Gaurav Kumar, although another accused managed to escape from the spot. 

A stolen scooty has also been recovered from the accused thieves. According to the police, this scooty was stolen by the thieves three months ago from near the PAC on Atrauli Road in Aligarh. Two of their accomplices Prashant and Rohit have already been arrested by the police. 

Prashant and Rohit were recently arrested by Atrauli police and sent to jail. While another Akash's brother Gagan is still absconding. During police interrogation, the accused have admitted that they used to target trucks
coming out of the liquor factory in Atrauli, but now they also commit thefts from trucks passing on the highway. 

During interrogation, the accused told that Gagan drives an auto to carry out the theft. When the speed of the truck slows down, they get on it as soon as they get the chance. After this, they cut the tarpaulin covering the truck and throw the goods from it down. The rest of the accused keep collecting the goods in the auto running behind.

They have taken a rented shop to keep the stolen goods. From here they sell the goods slowly. Police have recovered a huge quantity of Orissa Rockford liquor, 11 boxes of Officer Choice brand and 523 tetra packs of English liquor, 10 tetra packs of Rasbhari brand country liquor and 635 helmet glasses from the accused  .

Apart from this, 460 ceftriaxone injections (1 gram), 150 cans of grout sealer (400 ml each), 120 packets of unsanded grout (1 kg of 600 series), 30 cans of 500 grams of Glucose D powder, a bucket of 20 kg dark choco covering and a stolen scooty have also been recovered by the police.

What did the police say?
In this regard, SSP Mayank Pathak said that on the information of the informer, the police station Quarsi has arrested three such accused, who used to target big vehicles on the link road and steal goods from them. Their plan to steal goods used to start from auto and after collecting the goods, these people used to hide them in a shop and sell them slowly.

SSP Mayank Pathak said that one of the accused fled from the spot. Atrauli police has already arrested two other members of this gang and sent them to jail. He said that investigation has revealed that this is an inter-district gang. Cases have been registered against them in different police stations. Investigation of these people is being done on other sections and how many people are involved in this group. The team is also investigating this matter.
