Amid the box office clash of Alia Bhatt-Vedang Raina's 'Jigra' and Rajkummar Rao-Tripti Dimri's 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video', the tussle between filmmaker Karan Johar and Divya Khosla has come into the limelight. On the day of the release of 'Jigra', Divya Khosla shared a post, after which Karan Johar also did not delay in responding. After Karan's post, a debate broke out between him and Divya. It all started when Divya called the Jigra collection fake. Later, Jigra producer Karan Johar took to Instagram account to criticize such posts. However, a strange aspect of this social media fight is that neither side has named the other. But, continuously they are sharing cryptic posts on Instagram story.

Whose side are the netizens taking?

From the ongoing social media spat, it was already clear that Twitter and Instagram users would definitely jump into this fight and take someone's side. However, social media also seemed divided on this topic. While a section of ex-users took Karan Johar's side and reminded Divya that Jigra is not a copy of Savi, there are some users who took Divya's side and trolled Karan and Alia.

Some supported Divya and some supported Karan

One user took Divya Khosla's side and wrote- "It's karma time for Karan Johar and his nepo kid Alia. Congratulations Divya." Another took Divya's side and said- 'Divya has exposed the fake collection of Jigra. Will Alia and Karan's game also be exposed now? How deep is the truth and who else is going to be involved in it?' Another said- "Divya should first watch Jigra and only then say something. Her film Savi is nowhere near Jigra." A user supported Karan Johar through a photo, in which one person is seen shouting while the other is calm. Also, the posts of both have also been merged with this photo.

War of words between Divya and Karan

Divya recently posted a picture of an empty movie theatre on her Instagram story and claimed that Alia's film is not getting audience. She also called the film's collection fake. Alia did not react to this, but Karan Johar could not resist without responding. He posted a story on his official Instagram account without naming Divya and wrote - 'Silence is the best answer for fools'. Soon after Karan's post, Divya shared a post, without mentioning anyone, she wrote, "Truth provokes fools." In another, she wrote, "When others' belongings are shamelessly stolen and confiscated, one should keep quiet and run away. Such people have no voice and no backbone."

Why is Divya unhappy with the makers of Jigra?

Actually, Divya's film 'Saavi' was released in May this year, in which Harshvardhan Rane and Anil Kapoor were also seen with her. The story of the film revolves around a jailbreak, in which a wife can go to any extent to free her husband from jail. The theme of the recently released 'Jigra' is also based on the jailbreak concept. However, the stories of both the films are completely different. Since the release of the trailer of the film, Divya's team has accused the makers of the Alia Bhatt starrer film of rewriting the script of Saavi and presenting it as Jigra.
