A case of bullying by fearless miscreants has come to light in Dhenkanal district of Odisha. Where for a loan of Rs. 800, some miscreants set a person's motorcycle worth Rs. 1 lakh on fire. His family has also been threatened with murder.

There was a long running dispute over Rs 800

Actually, there was a long-running dispute between two parties of Dhenkanal's Khamar Sahi area and Mridanga Sahi area over a loan of Rs 800. According to the information, this matter was to be settled in Dhenkanal Town Police Station. 

The miscreants broke into the house and vandalized it

Even before the settlement, the dispute escalated so much that some goons of Mridang Sahi barged into the house of Ganeshwar Behera of Khamar Sahi and vandalised it. They set Ganeshwar's motorcycle on fire and even threatened to kill his family. 

Local people were left stunned

About 20 miscreants of Mridang Sahi created such a ruckus that the local people present nearby were stunned. It seemed as if someone had committed a big crime and the mob had come to kill him. The miscreants not only misbehaved with the women of the house but also caused extensive damage to the house. They even broke the pot of rice kept on the stove.

Case registered under these sections

On this entire matter, Dhenkanal Town Police Station Officer Prabhat Sahu said, 'Earlier Ganeshwar Behera of Khamar Sahi had a scuffle with a person from Mridang Sahi due to which the people of Mridang Sahi lodged a complaint against him. On December 12, we had filed a case number 848 against Ganeshwar Behera under sections 126(2), 118(1), 109, 3(5) of the BNS.'

After the fight, the motorcycle was set on fire

Along with this, Prabhat Sahu said, 'After filing the complaint, some people from the complainant side took the law in their own hands and entered Ganeshwar Behera's house, beat him up and set his motorcycle on fire. Now Ganeshwar Behera has filed a complaint against them on December 13.'

A team was formed to nab the accused

The police officer said, ‘We have booked the miscreants under sections 126(2), 115(2), 333, 324(4), 74, 326(f), 3(5) of the IPC under case number 850. The entire matter is being investigated. Both parties have filed cases against each other. The police have started identifying and arresting the miscreants.’
