New Delhi. Bad news has come for India in badminton from Paris Olympics. The pair of Chirag and Satwik have faced defeat in men's doubles. Malaysian pair Chia Aaron and Soh Wooi Yik won by defeating them 2-1 in a match that lasted 64 minutes.

Chirag and Satwik performed well in the first game. Both of them performed well and took lead over the Malaysian pair. In this game which lasted 17 minutes, Chirag-Satwik defeated the pair of Aaron and Yik 21-13. With this victory, India put pressure on Malaysia.

Malaysia made a comeback in the second game

In the second game, Malaysia eased the pressure and took the lead right from the beginning. However, Chirag-Satwik also played good shots to make a comeback. Malaysia won this game which lasted a minute more than the first game. In the match which lasted for 18 minutes, Malaysia won the second game 21-14.

Tough competition in the third game

Both the teams, who were tied at 1-1, played well in the last game. Malaysia kept leading for some time but Chirag-Satwik tried their best to make a comeback. India gave a tough fight till 15 points. However, after that the Malaysian pair did not make any mistake and finally won the match 21-16.

India was expecting a medal from the pair of Chirag and Satwik. After this defeat in the quarter-finals, India's hopes of a medal were dashed. Now the challenge of PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen and Prannoy Roy remains in badminton.
