Yogi Govt Transfers 14 PCS Officers, Shifts 10 ADMs and Sends 3 to Election Office
In a sweeping administrative overhaul aimed at tightening field governance and gearing up state machinery ahead of upcoming electoral battles, the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has ordered the immediate transfer and reposting of 14 senior Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officers across key administrative zones. The latest reshuffle, orchestrated from the state secretariat in Lucknow, primarily targets field-level executive command, reassigning ten Additional District Magistrates (ADMs) to strategic districts while mobilizing critical administrative manpower toward electoral oversight. With the official transfer notification formally issued by the appointment department, all designated officers have been instructed to relinquish their current charges without delay and report to their newly assigned stations with immediate effect.
Strengthening Election Machinery: 3 Officers Deputed as OSDs to Chief Electoral Office in Lucknow
A major focal point of this bureaucratic realignment is the deliberate reinforcement of the state's poll management infrastructure ahead of pivotal electoral exercises. Three seasoned PCS officers have been drafted directly into the Chief Electoral Officer’s (CEO) establishment headquartered in Lucknow to handle crucial organizational workflows. Under the fresh orders, PCS officer Abhinav Ranjan Srivastava has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Lucknow. Joining him in the election directorate are Shiv Pratap Shukla and Gaurav Srivastava, both of whom have also been posted as Officers on Special Duty (OSD) within the Chief Electoral Officer's establishment, providing experienced executive bandwidth to streamline voter rolls, logistical planning, and compliance monitoring across the state.

Concurrently, PCS officer Devendra Pratap Singh has been elevated to Additional Municipal Commissioner in the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation following his tenure as SDM in Unnao.
