Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat: CM Yogi Slams Caste Politics at Teachers' Meet

Addressing the Provincial Teachers' Dignity Workshop in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath delivered a forceful message against identity politics, asserting that the nation cannot afford to be divided along caste lines, regional affiliations, or linguistic camps. Speaking at the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Auditorium of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University on Sunday, the Chief Minister emphasized that fragmenting society weakens the national fabric and amounts to a direct crime against Mother India. Drawing parallels with India's colonial past, he pointed out that during foreign subjugation, one faction deliberately divided communities while nationalist forces united society to wage the freedom struggle. He warned that similar divisive tendencies are reappearing in modern guises and placed the responsibility directly on the teaching community to act as a frontline defense against social fragmentation.

Ideology Outlasts Individuals: Honoring 100 Years of Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Parivar

Organized to mark the centenary year of the Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Parivar, the convention commenced with the sacred chanting of the Gayatri Mantra and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Paying tribute to the organization’s founders, Pandit Shriram Sharma and Mata Bhagwati Devi, the Chief Minister remarked that movements driven by ideas outlast those anchored around individual personalities. He noted that while organizations named after individuals often fade away, enduring institutions survive on selfless philosophy, pointing to the century-long social service of Gayatri Parivar as living proof. He highlighted that Gita Press was founded in 1923, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in 1925, and the Gayatri Parivar in 1926—three distinct movements that collectively awakened national public consciousness and connected the populace with civilizational values and cultural pride.

Reviving the Gurukul Tradition: Teachers as the Architects of Vishwaguru India

Describing educators as the moral conscience of society, CM Yogi stated that an awakened teaching community holds the key to re-establishing India as a global knowledge powerhouse (Vishwaguru). He recalled how the ancient Acharya and Gurukul traditions nurtured world-renowned centers like Takshashila and Nalanda while fostering transformative teacher-disciple bonds such as Chanakya and Chandragupta, Maharishi Vashistha and Lord Ram, and Maharishi Sandipani and Lord Krishna. Celebrating the participation of over 1.1 million students in the Indian Culture Knowledge Examination, the Chief Minister stressed that equipping the younger generation with competitive skills alongside cultural values will prepare youth to steer India's destiny toward the national development milestones set for 2047.

Environmental Stewardship and Family Values: Restoring River Arteries and Joint Living

The Chief Minister also linked cultural rejuvenation to ecological responsibility and family stability. Observing that the shift from joint families to nuclear households has increased emotional stress and societal alienation, he urged spiritual groups like Gayatri Parivar to actively work toward reintegrating families with broader community life, noting that nature never discriminates. Emphasizing environmental conservation, he announced that the state planted 275 crore saplings between 2017 and 2026, including 35 crore saplings in the current year backed by structured monitoring systems. Describing rivers as the lifelines and biological arteries of the country, he called for collective civic action to maintain clean, uninterrupted river flows across Uttar Pradesh.
