CM Yogi Warns Against Using Internet Media to Divide India on Kakori Train Action Centenary

Speaking from the historic grounds of Kakori during the 101st-anniversary celebrations of the legendary Kakori Train Action, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued a stern warning against modern conspiracies aimed at fragmenting the nation. Emphasizing that historical divisions and internal conspiracies were originally responsible for India's subjugation, CM Yogi highlighted that anti-national elements are once again actively trying to weaken the country along the lines of region, caste, and language, weaponizing internet media and social platforms to spread malicious rumors and mislead society.

Honoring the Legacy of Kakori Revolutionaries

Reflecting on the monumental bravery of 1925, the Chief Minister recalled how the fearless revolutionaries of the Kakori Train Action fundamentally shook the foundation of British imperial rule, sending an unequivocal message that India would never bow down to slavery. Iconic freedom fighters such as Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaqulla Khan, Thakur Roshan Singh, Rajendra Nath Lahiri, and Chandrashekhar Azad laid down their lives for the nation's sovereignty. CM Yogi noted that while the British colonial regime maliciously labeled the historic event as a mere robbery, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's administration rightfully restored their honor by officially renaming it the 'Kakori Train Action'.

Correcting Historical Oversights and Honoring True Heroes

Critiquing post-independence governance, CM Yogi pointed out that for decades, freedom fighters of legendary uprisings like Kakori and the Chauri Chaura incident were denied the national reverence they rightfully deserved. He asserted that post-independence naming conventions for public schemes and institutions were disproportionately centered around a single family and clan. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, true national heroes are finally being commemorated. Alongside the establishment of the Panchtirtha associated with Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the memories and contributions of freedom fighters like Veer Savarkar, Ram Prasad Bismil, and Ashfaqulla Khan are actively being preserved.

Call to Action: Unearth Unsung Heroes and Celebrate Independence

Urging citizens, local communities, and grassroots leaders to actively participate in historical preservation, CM Yogi appealed to the public to unearth unsung freedom fighters and local revolutionaries from their respective villages, tehsils, and districts. Many regional heroes who sacrificed everything for the motherland remain omitted from mainstream history books. The Chief Minister urged people to collect scattered archival material, restore local memorials, and pay heartfelt floral tributes on birth and martyrdom anniversaries. Furthermore, he called upon every citizen to proudly hoist the tricolor in every home and lead collective renditions of Vande Mataram in educational and public institutions. The high-profile commemorative event was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, Culture and Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh, Mayor Sushma Kharwal, Rajya Sabha MP Brajlal, and several local legislator.
