CM Yogi Hails UP's Historic Transformation at Lok Bhavan's Sadhana Series-2026
Inaugurating the landmark two-day regional "Sadhana Series-2026" workshop at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared that the state has decisively completed an unprecedented journey from being an administrative bottleneck to emerging as a front-ranking breakthrough engine for the entire nation. Jointly organized under the aegis of the Capacity Building Commission of India and the Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Academy of Administration and Management, the high-level convention convened senior delegations across eight states and four Union Territories alongside Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Dr. Jitendra Singh. Addressing the assembly of civil servants, the Chief Minister underscored that the true significance of any administrative machinery is measured not by bureaucratic routine or the mere disposal of physical files, but by the tangible relief and satisfaction reflected on the faces of farmers, women, youth, the elderly, and marginalized citizens who seek timely public assistance.
Beyond Disposing Files: Marrying AI With Indian Tradition and Eradicating Encephalitis
Emphasizing that governance is being radically disrupted by cutting-edge technology, Chief Minister Adityanath pointed out that modern public administration must proactively equip civil servants to coordinate modern tools like Artificial Intelligence, data analytics, and digital platforms with the ethical grounding of the Indian knowledge tradition. Highlighting the state's dramatic departure from its pre-2017 past—which was marred by administrative apathy, nepotism, corruption, mafia impunity, and an identity crisis—the Chief Minister showcased Uttar Pradesh's landmark public health victory over Japanese Encephalitis. The fatal disease, which had claimed the lives of over 50,000 children over a painful span of forty years, has now been completely contained across eastern Uttar Pradesh, registering zero deaths today. This healthcare turnaround has been reinforced by massive welfare deliveries under the double-engine government, including the construction of permanent houses for 6.5 million poor families, over 30 million individual household toilets, and guaranteed monthly food security extended to more than 150 million beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.
Infrastructure Marvel: From Water Trains to 60 Percent of the Nation's Expressways
The Chief Minister highlighted that the physical landscape of Uttar Pradesh has undergone a total overhaul, transforming former areas of severe distress into models of self-reliance. Recalling the days when drinking water had to be transported via emergency train wagons and tankers to parched districts across the Bundelkhand and Vindhyan belts, Adityanath celebrated the operational success of the 'Har Ghar Jal' tap-water mission across these rugged terrains. On the connectivity front, Uttar Pradesh has expanded from having just one and a half expressways in 2017 to housing nearly 60 percent of the entire country's expressway network today. Backed by India’s largest road grid, an extensive rail framework, and rapidly scaling regional aviation infrastructure that now features five operational international airports alongside 17 domestic airports, the state has completely eliminated its past developmental deficits to emerge as India's premier logistics corridor.
Empowering 1.92 Million Karmayogis: Digital Upskilling on iGOT and Unnati Portals
Concluding his address, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath outlined the digital transformation underway inside the state's administrative apparatus through Mission Karmayogi, noting that Lucknow's selection for the third regional workshop of the Capacity Building Commission will foster mutual learning between Uttar Pradesh and peer states. The Chief Minister revealed that an impressive 1.926 million state government employees are actively registered on the digital iGOT Karmayogi platform, having completed approximately 40 million specialized training modules to date. Furthermore, with more than 334 state training academies and institutes integrated onto the Unnati portal, Uttar Pradesh is leading national civil service reform. Adityanath reiterated that the true test of this massive digital upskilling is not the accumulation of completion certificates, but rather the visible delivery of simplified procedures, speedier decision-making, and sensitive citizen-centric service delivery, driving Uttar Pradesh's commitment to building a developed India under the guiding spirit of "Minimum Government, Maximum Governance."
