Standing firm in the heart of the region, the Chief Minister made it abundantly clear that his administration’s resolve to completely crush and dismantle the mafia nexus has been successfully fulfilled, leaving criminals with only two destinations: prison or hell. Without mincing words, he warned that the state government's strict legal enforcement will now actively target anyone attempting to harbor, shelter, or provide political and social protection to criminal elements.
Targeting Illegal Arms Licenses and Urging Wise Electoral Choices
Shifting focus to local political leadership, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a sharp critique—without directly naming him—against local MP Afzal Ansari, the brother of Mukhtar Ansari. He accused the sitting representative of showing complete indifference toward regional growth and public welfare, alleging instead that such politicians are heavily preoccupied with securing illegal arms licenses and fostering criminal syndicates. Urging the electorate of Ghazipur to exercise careful judgment, the Chief Minister appealed to citizens to elect capable, visionary public representatives and encouraged local youth to channel their boundless energy into positive, constructive pathways for state development.
Rs 692 Crore Development Gift and End of Riots and Extortion
The high-profile event at the Naveen Krishi Mandi in Muhammadabad saw the Chief Minister inaugurate and lay foundation stones for an extensive array of development projects worth Rs 692 crore, spanning all seven assembly constituencies across the district. Alongside launching these infrastructural enhancements, he ceremoniously distributed beneficiary acceptance letters and financial assistance cheques under various state welfare schemes. Highlighting the stark transformation of Uttar Pradesh’s law and order landscape, Yogi Adityanath contrasted the current peaceful climate with previous regimes, recalling how past administrations witnessed routine riots during religious festivals and rampant corruption in government job recruitments.

Emphasizing the cultural and patriotic significance of the region, the Chief Minister described Ghazipur—often revered as Lahuri Kashi—as a sacred land of sages, saints, and valiant defenders of the nation, expressing deep dismay that criminal syndicates had ever been allowed to tarnish its proud identity. He reiterated that mafia networks exploit and bleed society dry without loyalty to anyone. Looking toward future economic growth, he reaffirmed that the double-engine government is supercharging Purvanchal's development, announcing that the Purvanchal Expressway will soon be extended to seamlessly link Chandauli and Varanasi all the way down to Sonbhadra, while exposing massive financial corruption committed by previous administrations during initial expressway planning.
