
News Topical,Digital Desk : Taking an important decision, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) has decided to remove the futures and options (F&O) contracts of five companies from the market. This decision has been taken by the exchange in compliance with the guidelines issued by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEB) on 30 August 2024. In this guideline, the necessary parameters have to be met for any stock to remain in the F&O segment.
According to the circular issued by NSE, the names of the five companies whose F&O contracts are being terminated are given below:
- ACC Limited (ACC)
- Balkrishna Industries Limited (BALKRISIND)
- Chambal Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (CHAMBLFERT)
- Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Limited (M&MFIN)
- Tata Communications Limited (TATACOMM)
From when will you not be able to trade in these F&O stocks? In this circular issued by the exchange, it has been clarified that now F&O contracts of new expiry months will not be issued for these companies. NSE has further informed that from August 1, 2025, no F&O contracts for all these 5 companies will be available for trade in the market. Trade will continue in all existing contracts , however, there will be no change in the already existing contracts of May 2025, June 2025 and July 2025. These contracts will be available for trade till their due date. Along with this, new strike prices will also be introduced in these existing contracts so that there is no hindrance in trading activity.
