In March, the King's Bench Division of the London-based High Court of Justice rejected Nirav Modi's appeal seeking a fresh review against his extradition order. The Crown Prosecution Service successfully argued the case with vital assistance from a specialized Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team deployed to London. Nirav Modi remains wanted in India for his central role in the multi-billion-dollar Punjab National Bank (PNB) fraud, where fraudulent Letters of Undertaking were allegedly used to siphon public funds before he fled the country in January 2018.
