UPPSC PCS Pre 2026: Registration for Uttar Pradesh PCS preliminary exam to begin, 500 posts to be filled
News Topical, Digital Desk : Good News for the candidates who are preparing for PCS Exam in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released the official notification for PCS prelims exam. Interested candidates who want to appear in PCS preliminary exam can fill online application form by visiting official website of UPPSC. Last date for applying for this recruitment process is 27 July 2026. Candidates can also make corrections in their forms till August 3.
Fee for Application
The fees for registration for the preliminary examination of the PCS vary for different categories of candidates. The registration fee is Rs. 125/- for candidates of general category, Rs. 65/- for SC and ST candidates and Rs. 25/- for candidates with disabilities.
Qualification needed to apply
The candidate should have a graduation degree from a recognized institute in India to apply.
Minimum applying age 21 years. The maximum age limit of the candidates should not be more than 40 years. However, the candidates belonging to reserved categories will be given relaxation in age.
How are the candidates selected?
Selection Procedure: Selection will be through Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Interview. Preliminary examination will be held in two papers, Paper-1 from 9.30 am to 11.30 am and Paper-2 from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. The total number of marks for the preliminary examination will be 400. The first shift will have General Studies paper with 150 objective type questions. The second shift will also be the CSAT exam which will have a total of 100 questions.
