CM Yogi Janta Darshan: Sitapur's Poonam Devi Seeks Help For Destitute Cows, Receives Immediate Assurance

Demonstrating unwavering commitment to grassroots governance, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hosted a public Janta Darshan at his official residence in Lucknow. Despite a hectic administrative schedule, the Chief Minister personally met citizens arriving from various districts across the state, attentively listening to their grievances and issuing strict directives to officials for prompt and effective redressal. Among the attendees was Poonam Devi from Sitapur, whose earnest appeal for cattle rearing captured attention and resulted in immediate administrative support.

Poonam Devi's Vision For Self-Reliance Through Cow Service

Poonam Devi, a resident of Gurudev Nagar in Hargaon, Sitapur, traveled to Lucknow to present her petition directly to the Chief Minister. Explaining her desire to achieve financial self-reliance through livestock management, Poonam shared that she already owns five cows and possesses adequate space to shelter additional cattle. She requested government assistance to acquire destitute cows, hoping to combine traditional cow service (Gau Seva) with commercial milk production to elevate her family's income.

CM Yogi Directs Animal Husbandry Department To Help

Moved by her dedication, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath encouraged Poonam Devi and assured her that her aspirations would be supported through established government frameworks. Emphasizing the cultural and spiritual significance of cow service during the holy month of Shravan—where cows are revered as repositories of divine blessings—the Chief Minister directed the Additional Chief Secretary of the Animal Husbandry Department to extend the benefits of the Chief Minister's Indigenous Cow Rearing Incentive Scheme (Nand Baba Milk Mission / Destitute Cow Participation Scheme) to her. He assured her that devoting herself to cow service would bring prosperity and eliminate hardships.

Swift Action On Land Encroachment Complaints

In addition to supporting rural livelihoods, the Janta Darshan addressed several urgent civic and legal grievances. A differently-abled citizen who attended the public meeting lodged a formal complaint regarding the illegal encroachment of his land. Taking immediate cognizance of the matter, Chief Minister Yogi directed local authorities to conduct a thorough, impartial investigation and ensure that swift legal action is taken to protect the rights of the victim. Officials across all departments were instructed to treat public grievances with utmost urgency and ensure transparent resolution.
