CM Yogi Adityanath to Lead Grand 'Har Ghar Tiranga' Tiranga Yatra in Gorakhpur

Imbued with an overwhelming spirit of patriotism and festive fervor ahead of Independence Day, the streets of Gorakhpur are set to witness a massive display of national pride on Monday. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will personally lead a grand and majestic Tiranga Yatra organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) metropolitan unit. The high-profile procession aims to champion the nationwide 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, echoing a resounding message of unity, national integrity, and "Nation First" to citizens across the region.

Route and Key Landmarks of the Gorakhpur Tiranga Yatra

Commencing at 9:00 AM, the grand procession will start from the statue of the valiant freedom fighter Rani Lakshmibai located within the Municipal Corporation premises. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the yatra by garlanding and offering floral tributes at her statue.

Following the launch, the procession will wind its way through prominent city locations, including Town Hall, Golghar Square, Ganesh Square, the historic Kali Mandir, and Traffic Crossing, before culminating at the statue of Maharana Pratap at Railway Station Chowk. Along the route, CM Yogi will halt to honor other legendary figures, offering floral tributes at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Town Hall Square, paying respects at the Golghar Kali Temple, garlanding the statue of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and paying homage at the statue of India's first President, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, at the Traffic Intersection.

Fueling the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' Mass Movement

The Gorakhpur Tiranga Yatra serves as a monumental precursor to the state government's ambitious 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign. Through this mass mobilization effort, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will actively urge the public to hoist the national flag at their residences, turning Independence Day into a grand festival of national pride. The Uttar Pradesh government has set an inspiring target of hoisting the tricolor across five crore homes this year, with the Gorakhpur procession acting as a powerful catalyst for public participation and grassroots engagement.

Massive Public Participation and Welcoming Arrangements

Thousands of BJP officials, public representatives, dedicated party workers, and enthusiastic young citizens are expected to participate in the yatra. To celebrate the occasion, various local social, religious, and business organizations have organized grand welcome points at 16 key locations along the route—including Hotel Shivaay, Kachari Chowk, Kripal Vastralay, Jalkal Golghar, Gandhi Ashram, Baldev Plaza, and the Police Line Tiraha—transforming the entire city into a vibrant hub of patriotic celebration. Preparations were thoroughly reviewed during a high-level organizational meeting held on Sunday at the BJP Metropolitan Office in Beniganj, presided over by Metropolitan President Ramesh Pratap Gupta, ensuring a historic and seamlessly executed event.
