Allahabad HC Demands Answers from UP Commission Over Incorrect and Out-of-Syllabus Questions

The Allahabad High Court has adopted a stringent stance concerning serious discrepancies in the recruitment examination process for Assistant Teachers. Hearing a petition filed by Aditya Kumar Singh and 17 co-petitioners, Justice Siddharth Nandan took formal note of grievances regarding faulty and extraneous testing frameworks within the TGT English examination, directing the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission to immediately furnish comprehensive clarifications on the matter.

Petitions Highlight Massive Discrepancies in Question Paper

During the initial court proceedings, the petitioners presented substantial arguments pointing out deep flaws in the examination paper administered by the board. According to the submission, four specific questions contained clear factual or structural errors, while an astonishing 37 questions deviated entirely from the prescribed academic syllabus. The legal counsel representing the aggrieved aspirants contended that such systemic oversights severely jeopardize the merits of deserving candidates, directly undermining the fairness of the competitive selection process.

Commission Seeks Instructions as Court Sets Next Hearing

In response to the severe allegations brought before the bench, the advocate representing the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission requested a brief window of two days to gather concrete instructions and verify the claims from official examiners. The court specifically instructed the commission's representatives to procure precise status details regarding disputed queries numbered 3, 11, 12, and 100, alongside the broader block of 37 out-of-syllabus items. Demonstrating urgency in resolving the candidates' concerns, the High Court has promptly scheduled the next date of hearing for July 15.
