Jilted Lover Stabs Woman to Death in Mahalakshmi Layout In a chilling case of obsession, a 23-year-old woman named Anjali was allegedly stabbed to death by her boyfriend, Rajeev, on Pipeline Road in Mahalakshmi Layout. According to police reports, the two had been in a relationship for nearly four years, but Anjali’s family had recently urged her to distance herself due to Rajeev’s history of criminal involvement. On Sunday evening, Rajeev invited her for dinner under the guise of reconciliation. When Anjali firmly refused his marriage proposal, Rajeev reportedly flew into a rage and stabbed her multiple times in the neck. Passersby rushed the victim to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival. Rajeev was arrested by local police shortly after the incident.

Tragic Discovery at Nandi Hills Homestay

In a separate, deeply distressing incident near the Nandi Hills foothills, a 24-year-old physiotherapist, Sai Surabhi, was found dead inside a locked room at a homestay in Muddenahalli. Her boyfriend, Sanjeet Ali, was found lying unconscious beside her, suspected of having attempted suicide by consuming an overdose of pills. The couple had checked into the homestay on Saturday; when they failed to check out on Monday morning, staff alerted the police. Surabhi's family has alleged that she was a victim of domestic abuse and long-term harassment by Ali, claiming he killed her after she tried to break free from the relationship. In a brazen daylight attack that occurred on Saturday evening, a known history-sheeter, Raja (alias Halmurka Raja), was hacked to death by a group of armed assailants on the busy JP Nagar Main Road. Caught on CCTV, the attack showed the victim being chased and repeatedly struck with machetes near Indira Gandhi (IG) Circle. Raja, who had multiple criminal cases against him—including murder, attempted murder, and robbery—was allegedly targeted as part of a long-standing gang rivalry.
