Ayurvedic Breakthrough: Pushkarmooladi Kwath Offers Miraculous Relief for Angina
Cardiovascular diseases continue to rank among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide, presenting immense medical challenges for patients and practitioners alike. Among various cardiac conditions, stable angina frequently triggers debilitating chest pain, shortness of breath, and irregular heart palpitations due to insufficient blood supply to the heart muscle. In the quest for more effective, integrative healing approaches, a pioneering clinical study conducted at the Faculty of Ayurveda, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in Varanasi, has brought to light the remarkable therapeutic benefits of an ancient Ayurvedic formulation known as Pushkarmooladi Kwath. Published findings reveal that when administered alongside standard modern medical treatments, this herbal decoction successfully alleviated severe symptoms and provided complete chest pain relief for an overwhelming majority of patients.
Rigorous Clinical Evaluation Across Patient Groups
Led by Professor Rajendra Prasad, Head of the Department of Kaya Chikitsa, along with Professor Deepak Gautam from Modern Medicine and research scholar Dr. Divya Chaudhary, the clinical trial meticulously evaluated 40 patients suffering from stable angina. The participants were divided into two distinct groups of 20 individuals each. While the first control group received only standard conventional medical treatment, the second experimental group was administered the same modern treatment regimen supplemented with Pushkarmooladi Kwath for a continuous duration of three months. All participants underwent rigorous monthly checkups and clinical follow-ups to monitor their physiological progress and cardiac response.
Eradicating Shortness of Breath and Achieving 88% Chest Pain Relief
The results following the three-month intervention were nothing short of extraordinary. While patients on standard medication alone saw a reduction in severe shortness of breath, the group receiving Pushkarmooladi Kwath achieved complete eradication of severe breathlessness, bringing that symptom metric down to zero. Furthermore, lipid profiles—including total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL, VLDL, and HDL—demonstrated significantly superior improvements in the Ayurvedic decoction group, effectively mitigating primary cardiovascular risk factors. Electrocardiograms (ECGs) and echocardiograms further corroborated these benefits, revealing enhanced heart pumping efficiency. Most notably, while 57.9 percent of patients on conventional medicine alone experienced partial relief from chest pain, an astonishing 88.8 percent of patients receiving Pushkarmooladi Kwath reported complete, absolute relief from debilitating chest pain, marking a monumental step forward in integrative cardiology.
