'Welcome to the Jungle' Defies Competition, Crosses ₹125 Crore Milestone
Despite a crowded theatrical calendar and stiff competition from recent releases, Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer Welcome to the Jungle continues to hold its ground at the box office. Two weeks into its theatrical run, the Ahmed Khan directorial has proven its resilience, maintaining a steady pace with family audiences both in India and overseas.
A Strong Second-Week Performance
As the film wraps up its second week, it has achieved a significant milestone by crossing the ₹125 crore net domestic mark. On its 14th day, the film added approximately ₹2.15 crore to its tally, reflecting a stable hold despite the presence of new releases. Trade reports confirm that the total India net collection now stands at an impressive ₹125.05 crore, with the gross domestic collection surpassing ₹148 crore.
Global Appeal and Worldwide Success
The film's performance hasn't been limited to domestic borders. Welcome to the Jungle has struck a chord with international audiences as well, contributing over ₹31 crore to its total earnings from overseas markets. With its consistent performance across global circuits, the film's total worldwide gross has now surged past the ₹180 crore mark, putting it firmly on the path to the coveted ₹200 crore club.
Maintaining the Lead Against New Entrants
Even as the film enters its third week, it remains a dominant force, outperforming several other titles currently in theaters. While recent action thrillers like Alpha have captured a portion of the multiplex audience, the Akshay Kumar-led comedy continues to pull in consistent crowds. As the industry looks toward the release of new comedies like Dhamaal 4, Welcome to the Jungle stands as a testament to the enduring popularity of the franchise and its ensemble cast, which features over 30 actors, including Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, and Paresh Rawal.
