Nifty Eyes 23,600 Breakout: Top 2 Smallcap Stocks to Buy on Monday for Double-Digit Gains
Dalal Street traders and institutional desks are preparing for a high-stakes trading week ahead as the benchmark Nifty 50 approaches a critical technical inflection point. While the headline index concluded its sixth consecutive weekly drop with a marginal slip of 0.22 percent, a strong three-day counter-rally pulled the index off its September 15 trough of 23,119 to settle near 23,350. Technical charts indicate that momentum indicators are staging early bullish reversals from deeply oversold zones. Leading market technical analyst Sudip Shah, Head of Technical and Derivatives Research at SBI Securities, highlights that while broader sentiment remains guarded beneath downward-sloping major moving averages, a decisive breakout above the 23,500-23,600 ceiling could trigger an aggressive short-covering squeeze toward 23,900. Amid this index consolidation, two high-conviction smallcap stocks have flashed textbook range breakouts supported by heavy volumes and rising trend strength indicators.
Nifty 50 Levels to Watch: 23,000 Fibonacci Defense and 23,600 Hurdle
According to Sudip Shah, the 23,000-23,050 zone serves as a structural line in the sand for domestic equities. This cluster aligns precisely with the previous swing low and the 61.8 percent Fibonacci retracement level of the preceding bull run, making its preservation vital for the ongoing recovery. On the higher side, the 23,450-23,500 corridor stands as immediate resistance, coinciding with the 10-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA). A sustained daily close above 23,500 would confirm an upside trend reversal and pave the path for an assault on 23,600. Once past 23,600, upside targets open toward 23,700 and 23,900. Encouragingly, the daily Relative Strength Index (RSI) has pulled out of oversold territory and confirmed a bullish crossover, confirming that downside selling pressure has waned considerably.
Electronics Mart India Breakout: High Volumes and Rising ADX Signal ₹210 Target
Consumer durables retail heavyweight Electronics Mart India has emerged as a prime technical pick after consolidating in a tight ₹168-197 range for four consecutive weeks. The counter has registered an upside range breakout backed by significant volume expansion, with price action comfortably sustaining above critical moving averages across daily and weekly frames. Furthermore, an expanding Average Directional Index (ADX) on the weekly chart confirms rising trend strength. Sudip Shah recommends initiating fresh long positions in the ₹194-198 band, with a strict stop-loss positioned at ₹188 for an immediate short-term target of ₹210, offering a compelling risk-to-reward ratio from its Friday close of ₹196.
Lumax Auto Technologies Base Reversal: 34-Day EMA Cushion Points to ₹2,255
Automotive component maker Lumax Auto Technologies presents an equally attractive multi-week base breakout setup. The stock had traded within a well-defined channel of ₹1,894-2,149 since August 11, successfully defending its dynamic 34-day EMA support zone, which previously acted as stiff resistance. The stock's daily RSI has marched above the crucial 60 threshold, while weekly momentum oscillators and the ADX are trending steadily upward. Following its close at ₹2,106 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Shah advises entering long trades in the ₹2,085-2,110 accumulation pocket, maintaining a protective stop-loss at ₹2,025 while eyeing a near-term price objective of ₹2,255.
