Godrej Industries To Invest ₹20,000 Crore In Haryana, Creating 40,000 New Jobs

The Godrej Industries Group has announced a massive expansion of its footprint in Haryana by signing a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state government, committing an upcoming investment of ₹20,000 crore. Announced in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini, this strategic financial injection aims to accelerate industrial growth, boost commercial infrastructure, and generate approximately 40,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities across the state, further solidifying Haryana's position as a premier economic powerhouse in northern India.

Expanding Deep Roots Across Haryana's Industrial Landscape

Building upon its robust legacy in the region, the conglomerate revealed that it has already invested approximately ₹12,000 crore in Haryana, providing livelihoods to around 9,000 people through its diverse business operations. The newly proposed capital infusion is designed to capitalize on the state's progressive industrial policies, rapid urbanization, and favorable business climate. Pirojsha Godrej, Chairperson of the Godrej Industries Group, highlighted that Haryana has firmly emerged as a vital growth driver for the corporation, praising the state's thriving economic ecosystem and Gurugram's status as a leading commercial and employment hub.

Godrej Properties Spearheads Housing and Commercial Expansion

A substantial portion of this financial commitment will be driven by Godrej Properties, which plans to pump an additional ₹16,000 crore into the state by the 2027-28 financial year, building upon its previous ₹11,000 crore investment in the region. The real estate arm currently boasts 18 ongoing projects spanning major urban centers such as Gurugram, Sonipat, Faridabad, Panipat, and Kurukshetra. These upcoming residential and commercial developments are projected to create over 11,000 new jobs, catering to the rising demand for modern housing and urban infrastructure in the National Capital Region.

Boosting Gurugram's Commercial Ecosystem With Grade A+ Offices

In addition to residential projects, Godrej Ventures—the group's real estate private equity arm—is allocating an additional ₹3,500 crore specifically for developing world-class Grade A+ office infrastructure in Gurugram. Having previously invested ₹1,000 crore in the sector, this fresh infusion is expected to generate upwards of 30,000 jobs. By upgrading corporate office spaces, the initiative aims to enhance Gurugram's appeal for multinational corporations, global capability centers (GCCs), and institutional investors seeking premier business environments. Group Head and President of Corporate Affairs Rakesh Swami credited the state's ease of doing business for inspiring continued long-term investments.
