Bajel Projects Bags Massive ₹700 Crore Orders from Power Grid to Boost Regional Grid Connectivity
Bajel Projects, a prominent ₹2,254 crore engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) power transmission infrastructure player affiliated with the esteemed Bajaj Group, has secured a major breakthrough by bagging massive orders worth approximately ₹700 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India. In an official regulatory exchange filing, the company revealed that it has landed two substantial contracts under the WR-ER Inter-Regional Network Expansion Scheme – Part A, comprising one ultra-mega order valued at over ₹400 crore and a mega order exceeding ₹300 crore, significantly bolstering its expanding order book and market footprint.
Comprehensive Scope of High-Voltage Transmission Projects
The newly awarded Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts encompass critical transmission line packages designated as TL06 and TL02. The TL06 package involves the comprehensive design, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of the Ranchi (New) to New PPSP 400kV double-circuit transmission line connecting to Jamshedpur (New).
Meanwhile, the TL02 package covers the development of a high-capacity 765kV double-circuit transmission line (Part-II) extending from Raigarh (Tamnar) to Jamshedpur (New). Together, these massive high-voltage corridors are designed to significantly elevate power transmission capacity between the Western and Eastern regions, seamlessly enhancing grid connectivity and stability across Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.
Leadership Insights on Execution Capability and Strategic Growth
Commenting on the landmark order win, Bajel Projects Managing Director and CEO Rajesh Ganesh highlighted that securing two major projects in a rapid timeframe under the inter-regional expansion scheme is a clear testament to the company's robust execution capabilities in handling complex 400kV and 765kV power transmission systems. He emphasized that these projects will serve as a vital backbone for optimizing power flow across regional grids.
Furthermore, these contracts rank among the largest transmission line wins the company has secured to date. Management confirmed that internal engineering and project teams are fully prepared to execute both initiatives adhering to the highest safety parameters and stringent quality benchmarks.
