
News Topical, Digital Desk : A major accident took place in Beawar, Rajasthan on Saturday. The engine of the Garib Rath Express train going from Mumbai to Delhi suddenly caught fire. Within no time, flames started rising from the engine of the moving train.
The loco pilot showed presence of mind and stopped the train at Sendra railway station in Beawar district. The fire did not reach the passenger coach as the train was immediately separated from the engine. If the passenger coach had come in contact with the fire, there could have been a huge loss of life.
There were more than 500 passengers on the train.
As soon as the engine of Garib Rath caught fire, panic spread among the passengers in the station and the train. At the time of the incident, there were more than 500 passengers on the train. As soon as the fire broke out, all the passengers were made to get down from the train at Sendra station and the coaches were evacuated.
As soon as the news of the accident was received, fire engines reached the spot. Three fire engines brought the fire under control after about five hours of effort. Additional Divisional Railway Manager of North Western Railway Vikas Kumar reached the spot and inspected the incident site. At present, the cause of the fire has not been revealed.
Railway will investigate the matter.

The loco pilot showed prudence and promptness and stopped the train at Sendra Railway Station. There has been no loss of life. The engine has suffered major damage due to the fire. The train was sent forward after attaching another engine to the train. The reason for the fire is not known. The matter will be investigated in detail.

The news of the fire in the train spread like fire in the village. Sendra Sarpanch Ratan Singh Bhati said that as soon as he got the news of the accident, he reached the spot to help. A large number of villagers gathered. The flames of the fire were so intense that fire engines were called from Beawar and Sojat. The fire was brought under control after about 5 hours of effort. Due to the presence of mind of the loco pilot, no passenger was harmed.
