V-Guard Industries Rebounds 16% from Lows on Blockbuster Q2

In a remarkable intraday turnaround on Dalal Street, shares of consumer electricals and appliances major V-Guard Industries rebounded sharply on Thursday, October 29, 2026, gaining nearly 16% from the day’s lowest point following the announcement of a blockbuster second-quarter earnings report. Trading under intense selling pressure ahead of the financial disclosure, the BSE 1000 constituent had slipped to an intraday trough of ₹252.55 before aggressive institutional and retail buying sent the counter soaring to an intraday high of ₹292.25. The sharp reversal elevated the stock more than 7% above its previous closing level, driven by an across-the-board outperformance that saw consolidated net profit surge by over 72% alongside substantial expansions in operational revenue, operating EBITDA, and core operating margins.

Robust Q2 Financials: Net Profit Surges 72% as Revenue Reaches ₹1,853 Crore

The company’s consolidated financial scorecard for the quarter ended September 2026 demonstrated formidable operating leverage and resilient consumer demand across domestic distribution channels. V-Guard Industries reported a 72.3% year-on-year surge in consolidated net profit to ₹112 crore, up from ₹65 crore recorded during the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. Revenue from operations climbed 38.2% year-on-year to ₹1,853 crore compared to ₹1,341 crore in the year-ago period, reflecting strong consumer uptake across established and newly integrated product categories. Operating profitability expanded in tandem, with earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) rising 53.2% year-on-year to ₹167 crore against ₹109 crore in Q2 FY25. Demonstrating disciplined operational execution and manufacturing efficiencies, the company’s EBITDA margin widened by 90 basis points to 9.0%, up from 8.1% a year earlier, confirming that operational earnings outpaced top-line expansion despite volatile input-cost dynamics.

Management Guidance: Broad-Based Growth Offsets West Asia Supply Chain Friction

Reviewing the quarterly performance, Mithun K. Chittilappilly, Chairman and Managing Director of V-Guard Industries, emphasized that the enterprise maintained broad-based sales momentum across all core business divisions, spanning electronics, electricals, and consumer durables. Chittilappilly noted that robust financial growth was anchored by targeted product pricing revisions alongside significant volume expansion across major consumer categories, backed by favorable domestic retail conditions. Addressing emerging global macro risks, management acknowledged that ongoing geopolitical tensions and maritime freight disruptions in West Asia continue to exert intermittent cost pressures on raw materials and specialized supply components. However, Chittilappilly assured investors that proactive vendor diversification, strategic inventory planning, and localized cost controls are actively insulating supply chains, positioning V-Guard Industries to maintain strong revenue compounding and operational momentum throughout the upcoming festive and post-monsoon quarters.
