NSE Set to File Revised DRHP With SEBI Today as Launch Timeline and Price Band Details Emerge
The long-awaited public offering of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) has officially entered a decisive phase. Market participants and retail investors are keeping a close watch as the NSE prepares to file its revised Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). According to reports and regulatory timelines, corporate filings with the Registrar of Companies are scheduled to be finalized by September 11, clearing the path for the rollout of one of the largest and most eagerly anticipated financial market events in recent corporate history.
Expected Price Band, Valuation, and Massive Rs 30,000 Crore Issue Size
Citing inputs from CNBC-TV18 sources, the official price band for the NSE initial public offering is slated to be announced on September 15, with anticipated pricing ranging between Rs 1,750 and Rs 1,785 per share. At the upper end of this price band, the NSE's total market valuation is projected to touch an impressive Rs 4.41 lakh crore. The public issue will be entirely structured as an offer for sale (OFS) by existing shareholders, with the overall issue size expected to hover around Rs 30,000 crore. Reports indicate that certain early backers, including Morgan Stanley, have slightly trimmed their stake-sale proportions, adjusting the total offloaded equity from 6 percent to 5.5 percent.
Key IPO Dates: Anchor Bidding, Public Subscription Window, and Stock Exchange Listing Schedule
The rollout schedule outlines a swift progression toward the market debut. Following the price band announcement, the NSE IPO is expected to open for anchor investors on September 17. Subsequently, the main bidding window will open for public subscription from September 18 through September 22. Capping off the rigorous timeline, equity shares of the National Stock Exchange are slated to officially list on the stock exchanges on September 25, marking a historic milestone for India's capital markets.
