US President Donald Trump has given a statement regarding the Gaza Strip, which has caused a stir in the Middle East. During a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu at the White House on Tuesday, Trump said that if necessary, the US will occupy the Gaza Strip. Trump said that the US will deploy its troops in the Gaza Strip area.
According to President Trump, the presence of American troops in the Gaza Strip means 'long term ownership position'. He said that this will bring stability and peace in the Middle East. Trump has claimed that we are the bombs and weapons present in the Gaza Strip, which will be destroyed.
Hamas called Trump's statement absurd
Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri said on Wednesday that US President Donald Trump's comments about annexing the Gaza Strip were "ridiculous" and "absurd". The US decision would lead to instability in the Middle East.
"What Trump has said about Gaza is ridiculous and absurd and any such idea will only bring unrest to the region," Abu Zuhri told Reuters news agency.
Netanyahu meets Trump
At present, the conflict between Hamas and Israel in the Gaza Strip has stopped. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met US President Trump on Wednesday. After this, Trump said in a joint press conference with Netanyahu that America will occupy the Gaza Strip and we will also work with it. We will develop Gaza and we will have our ownership rights here.
