Shares of water pump manufacturing company Shakti Pumps (India) Limited have seen a rise today. On Wednesday, December 11, the company informed in an exchange filing that it has received an order of Rs 754.30 crore (including GST) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL).

The company said, "We have received an empanelment letter from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited for 25,000 stand-alone off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems (SPWPS) under the 'Magal Tyala Solar Krishi Pump Yojana'."

The order includes design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of these pumps. According to the filing, the company has to complete this entire work in 60 days. This order is worth Rs 662.82 crore before GST and the total value is Rs 754.30 crore. Financial performance of the company
 

  • The company's net profit in the September quarter stood at Rs 101.4 crore, which is several times more than Rs 6 crore in the same period last year.
  • The company's revenue during this quarter reached Rs 634.6 crore as against Rs 152.8 crore in the same period last year.
  • The company's total profit during April-September stood at Rs 194.1 crore, up from Rs 6.9 crore last year.
  • Revenue during the period reached Rs 1,202.2 crore, up from Rs 265.8 crore last year.
