Stock Market Closing: The Reserve Bank's credit policy will come on Thursday and a day before that the stock market closed with gains. Along with Nifty, midcap and smallcap stocks saw a strong rise. Along with this, Nifty IT was the hero of the market which contributed significantly in taking the market up. The market swayed on the back of a jump in midcap and smallcap stocks and today a significant jump was seen in the shares of Tata Group in the stock market. 

How was the closing of the stock market

The BSE Sensex closed at 81,765 with a gain of 809.53 points or 1 per cent, and the NSE Nifty closed at 24,702 with a gain of 234.90 points or 0.96 per cent.

Banking sector boomed

Bank Nifty today closed at the level of 53,603 with a jump of 336.65 points or 0.63 percent. There was a similar situation in Bank Nifty and 6 stocks closed with a jump while 6 stocks closed with a decline. 

Good jump in BSE Sensex shares

Out of the 30 stocks of BSE Sensex, 27 stocks closed with a rise and only 3 stocks were trading with a fall. Among the rising stocks, shares of TCS, Infosys, Titan, Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Finance and ICICI Bank closed with the highest rise.

Condition of Nifty shares

If we look at the update of Nifty stocks, shares of Trent, Infosys, TCS, Titan and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories have seen a jump and 41 out of 50 Nifty stocks are trading strongly. 9 stocks have seen closing with a downtrend. Among the falling stocks, trading has closed with SBI Life, HDFC Life, Bajaj Auto, NTPC and Grasim.

Rising and falling stock markets

1275 stocks closed with a gain today while 1145 stocks closed with a loss and equal trading was seen in advance-decline stocks.
