Stock Market Closing: On the last trading day of the week, the domestic stock market has closed with a good rise today. Bank Nifty, financial services as well as midcap-smallcap stocks have closed with gains. India VIX, an indicator of market volatility, has closed in red today and with its support, the stock market has seen a weekly closing on a rise. This was the last trading session of this week and November. Today, the second quarter economic growth rate or GDP data will also come.
How was the market closing
BSE's Sensex closed at 79,802 with a gain of 759.05 points or 0.96 percent. Apart from this, NSE's Nifty closed at 24,131 with a gain of 216.95 points or 0.91 percent.
Condition of Sensex shares
Out of the 30 shares of Sensex, only 3 shares closed on a decline, otherwise 27 shares closed with a rise. Among the rising shares, Bharti Airtel closed with a jump of 4.30 percent. Along with this, shares of Sun Pharma, M&M, Adani Ports, UltraTech Cement and Reliance Industries closed with a strong green mark.
Market Capitalization of BSE
The market capitalization of BSE has reached Rs 446.64 lakh crore and a significant increase has been seen in it compared to yesterday. Trade has closed in 4050 stocks on BSE and 2347 stocks have closed with gains. 1606 stocks are among the falling stocks and 97 stocks have closed the trading without any change.
Sectoral index update
Among the sectoral indices, except for realty and PSU banks, all other sectoral indices closed with gains. Healthcare is witnessing a gain of 2.04% and 2.35% in pharma stocks.
