
Q3 Results: Railtel Corp has announced its third quarter (Q3) business results for the current financial year. The company has informed in the exchange filing that there has been an increase in profit, while EBITDA has declined.
The company reported a profit of ₹65 crore in the quarter, which is more than ₹62.1 crore last year. At the same time, earnings have also increased from ₹668.4 crore to ₹767.6 crore. These results of the government company indicate a strong increase on a year-on-year (YoY) basis.
The company's EBITDA declined from ₹129.7 crore to ₹121 crore, due to which the EBITDA margin has also come down from 19.4% to 15.8%. Segment-based earnings Telecom services earnings stood at Rs 338 crore in Q3FY25, which is almost equal to the earnings of Q2FY25. It saw an increase on a year-on-year basis. In the same quarter of the previous financial year, the company had reported a topline of Rs 329 crore. Earnings from Project Services - its other vertical - were around Rs 430 crore in Q3FY25, compared to Rs 505 crore in Q2FY25 and Rs 340 crore in Q3FY24. The earnings were announced after market close and today RailTel shares closed at Rs 363.80 on the NSE, down Rs 20.25 or 5.27%.
