Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that efforts are being made to bring youth into politics as it cannot be left to those who believe only in dynastic politics and consider it a family property.
In fact, while addressing a program organized by Ramakrishna Math at Lekhamba village near Sanand city through video conferencing, the Prime Minister said that to make a new beginning in this regard, a dialogue of young leaders will be organized in Delhi on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
Participation of youth is important for the development of the nation: PM Modi
In his address, Prime Minister Modi said that Swami Vivekananda, the founder of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, believed that the participation of youth would be important for the development of the nation. Along with technology and other fields, it is also important that our youth lead the country in politics as well, because we cannot leave it in the hands of those who believe only in dynastic politics. We cannot hand over politics to those who consider it the property of their family. That is why we are going to make a new beginning.
Youth leader dialogue will be organized in Delhi
He said that on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary, we are organizing a youth leader dialogue in Delhi. 2,000 selected youth will be present in person, while crores of youth will join this program with the help of technology. In this program, the youth will discuss the resolution to make India a developed country. A blueprint will be prepared on how the participation of youth in politics can be increased.
PM Modi said that our resolve is to bring about one lakh talented and energetic youth into politics. These youth will become the future of the country and the new face of Indian politics. Our country is moving towards realising the dreams of Swami Vivekananda.
PM praises Ramakrishna Math
The Prime Minister told the gathering that Gujarat played an important role in the life of Swami Vivekananda as he stayed at many places in the state during his spiritual journey. The Gujarat government is preparing a blueprint for developing a tourist circuit connecting all the places associated with Swami Vivekananda. On this occasion, the Prime Minister praised the Ramakrishna Math for helping the people of Gujarat during natural disasters like the dam burst in Morbi in 1979, the earthquake in 2001 and the devastating floods in Surat in 2006.
