Monday is dedicated to Lord Shiva. On this day, Goddess Parvati is worshipped along with Lord Shiva. Also, a fast is observed on Monday. By worshipping Lord Shiva on Monday , every wish of the devotee is fulfilled. Also, happiness and good fortune increase.
It is mentioned in the scriptures that Lord Shiva is easily pleased by Jalabhishek. His blessings are showered on the devotee. By the grace of Lord Shiva, the effect of all the inauspicious planets in the horoscope is eliminated. If you also want to get rid of Pitra or Kalsarp Dosh, then recite Nag Stotra during the worship on Monday. Reciting this stotra gives relief from Pitra Dosh.
How to perform the anointment
Lord Shiva is worshipped on Mondays. Sadhaks can anoint Lord Shiva with normal water, Gangajal, ghee, milk and panchamrit. Apart from this, one can anoint Lord Shiva by mixing honey in Gangajal. While doing the anointment, recite the Naag Stotra. Worshipping Lord Shiva strengthens the planet Venus in the horoscope. Also, the blessings of Chandra Dev are showered on the sadhak.
