New Delhi: The Union Home Ministry has announced that the validity of all such FCRA registered NGOs whose renewal applications are pending has been extended till September 30 or the date of disposal of the renewal application.
According to a notification, the Home Ministry has also extended the validity of those NGOs registered under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) whose five-year validity period is expiring during July 1 to September 30 and who have applied or will apply for renewal before the expiry of five-year validity period.

The Home Ministry has also advised all FCRA registered organisations to note that in case of rejection of the application for renewal of Certificate of Registration, the validity of the certificate shall be deemed to have expired on the date of rejection of the application for renewal and the organisation shall not be eligible to receive foreign contribution or utilise the foreign contribution received.
