Mahakumbh 2025: More than 10 crore devotees are expected to visit Varanasi during the Mahakumbh event. In view of this, the Varanasi District Administration and Police Commissionerate are making all arrangements. Keeping this in mind, an important meeting of Varanasi District Administration, Varanasi Police Commissionerate, Kashi Vishwanath Temple Administration, Railway Department, Varanasi Municipal Corporation was held today in which some important decisions were taken.

While talking to ABP Live, Varanasi District Officer S Raj Lingam said that an important meeting was called keeping in mind the arrangements for every devotee coming to Kashi during the Maha Kumbh event. Keeping this in mind, some important decisions were taken, along with cleaning at regular intervals, vehicle fares for passengers on each route will be fixed. Necessary basic facilities will be provided especially for the passengers around the bus stand and railway station.

Plan ready
Varanasi DM said that any devotee can contact the control room established in Varanasi in case of any inconvenience or trouble. Water police and NDRF will also keep a close watch on the Ganga river in Varanasi. A definite plan has been prepared from the entry of outside vehicles into the city to the parking arrangements, so that Varanasi can be made jam-free especially during the Kumbh event.

During the Maha Kumbh event, most devotees will visit Kashi Vishwanath temple for darshan, besides the ancient religious place Sankat Mochan temple along with the Ganges river. Keeping this in mind, the Varanasi district administration also held an important meeting with the Kashi Vishwanath temple administration. Preparations have been made to ensure that essential facilities, crowd control arrangements, medical, water and other facilities are fully available during the arrival of devotees at the temple.
